ABOUT

SODA VIVE (us!) is a Melbourne-based tribute band to Soda Stereo, the largest Latin American rock/pop band.

Soda Stereo music comprises rock, pop, new age and resembles to bands such as The Police, U2, Duran Duran, INXS, The Cure, among others (but in Spanish).

*** We are looking for a DRUMMER as our previous drummer can no longer play ***

About the band:
• Normally play at venues that can host 100 to 400 people in Melbourne every 2 months.
• Normally play an interstate gig every 3 months (just for the weekend).
• Sell the tickets via Eventbrite and play full-house shows most of the time.
• Play with backing tracks (keyboards, brass, strings, etc), computers, sequencers and samplers.
• Normally rehearse at the house of our bassist in Seaford (this is free of charge).
• The week before the live show, we rehearse at Bayside Rehearsal Studios (Seaford). The cost of the Studio is shared equally among the members of the band.

** This is a serious hobby-project and we can offer the drummer 18% of the net income of each show **

To fit in you need to:
• Be an Australian permanent resident.
• Have its own drum kit
• Be able to play following the backing tracks and metronome (we use in-ears).
• Be able to rehearse your songs at home and know them entirely at the time of the general rehearsals.
• Rehearse every Sunday evening in Seaford (Victoria).
• Have your own car to transport your instruments.
