ABOUT

Hey, I’m Arabella, an artist in my early twenties with some live performance experience and a background in music and literature.

I’ve played all kinds of shows, from laid-back acoustic sets to loud rock gigs. My favorite gigs? The ones in crusty basement bars or dive bars, where you get paid in drinks and good stories.

I used to be in a stoner metal band, switching between lead vocals, bass, and rhythm guitar.

My lyrics are influenced by surrealism and absurdist philosophy, shaped by my love for poetry and lit. I’m all about mixing genres—dream pop, heavy-shoegaze, with a cosmic folk twist. My voice is ethereal but cuts through.

Influences

I’m drawn to otherworldly sounds, channeling hidden melodies through cosmic dust and distortion pedals.

Influences --

Surrealist Soundscapes: I love how music paints imagined landscapes—think Dali with reverb.

Dreampop & Shoegaze: Glistening guitars à la Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, and My Bloody Valentine guide me.

Metal Alchemy: Deftones' heavy riffs and Sonic Youth's raw energy fuel my love for distortion.

Electronic Beats: Crystal Castles’ chaotic rhythms resonate with me.

Björk & Grimes: Their boundary-pushing work inspires me to create without limits.

My goal is to craft soundscapes that transport listeners, blending shoegaze, synths, and introspective lyrics.

Looking for like-minded creators to explore and push musical boundaries. Let’s create something transcendent.

EQUIPMENT

My current setup is all about unlocking otherworldly soundscapes.

On my pedalboard, I’ve got Earthquaker Devices' "Afterneath" for cavernous reverb, the "Sea Machine" for modulated textures, and the "Hizumitas" for crushing fuzz, with a classic Cry Baby Wah for expressive sweeps.

For instruments, I switch between my Fender Jaguar for clean, gritty tones and an Ibanez bass for punchy low-end power—perfect for everything from ambient atmospheres to fuzzed-out sonic textures. While I use an Orange Crush combo amp for practice, I’m seeking a gig-ready upgrade.

On the production side, I’m stepping up from GarageBand (yes, Grimes vibes!) to Ableton Live, with plans to add a Novation Launchkey MIDI keyboard, a new condenser mic, and an audio interface for more professional recordings. The Rainbow Machine pedal is also on my wishlist because who doesn't love a bit of chaos?

This setup is all about expanding my sound, both in the studio and on stage.
