I love to improvise, I can play solos that range from jazzy to funky to bluesy to shred and can vary between clean, Crunch and saturated distortion sounds. I like to use effects for adding depth and variation to sounds and tones. I am very rhythmical and very much at home chunking out funky chords. I can read but I am out of practise for any site reading, I prefer to go with feel rather than reproducing notes on a page. I don't mind having chord charts as because sometimes you just need a reminder.

Influences
My master influence is Prince as he plays multiple instruments and he the funkiest there is.
Similarly I enjoy the other funksters including Jesse Johnson, Sly, James Brown, George Clinton, Al McKay and Nile Rodgers. I have various pop favourites like Steve Lukather in his Toto time. For the more technical playing my biggest influence is Steve Vai with a big helping of Joe Satriani, Vinnie Moore and more recently Tom Quayle. For more Jazzy stuff I like George Benson and Mike Stern.
