ABOUT

The Fed Peasants is a Deloraine based originals gypsy-folk band. We are still fairly new in town but we have 2x vocals, guitar, plus a drummer and bassist interested. And lots of songs! We’re looking for another musician to do the melodic soloing in between vocals. We are pretty open to different instruments. Something like Trumpet, Trombone, Violin, Flute would be good (not guitar). Maybe even a banjo on some songs.

The Fed Peasants started out in the UK, in Edinburgh, back in 2015, as a medieval-themed protest group. We did a lot of street performances and gigging during the Fringe, and recorded our first album, ‘Best Before:1760’. We then took the project to Adelaide where it became a bit less medieval, and recorded our 2nd album, ‘Humble Pie’, with a new set of musicians. We’d now like to start the band up again in Tasmania, getting back to our more theatrical roots. There are enough songs there for another new album.
