I grew up playing trombone in brass and concert bands and ended up being part of a 7 piece outfit with a horn section that played the Melbourne pub circuit weekly for 4 years, playing mostly soul/funk/blues/rock covers. It was great fun!
I dabbled a little with bass at the time but unfortunately, I stopped playing altogether after I met my ex wife :/
However, I took up bass 'properly' 4 years ago and now have trouble putting it down! Have started playing bass in a few groups this year for fun, but am wanting to get more serious about it.
I love most types of music without prejudice! What's most important for me is playing with other like minded musos!

EQUIPMENT
I play Fender Precision and Jazz basses using both flatwound and roundwound strings.
I prefer to play fingerstyle and very occasionally use a pick if the song needs it. Not a slap player.
