I'm a classically trained cellist to an intermediate level. I was in 3 orchestral groups until graduating highschool with a lot of performances. I've been busy pursuing a "legitimate" profession and so It's been a while since I performed live. Looking back, I barely enjoyed classical music and would have been happier learning the double bass and using that skill in more modern musical styles.
I've been jamming with samplers and synths for the last few years, learning to use them, finding my sound. I'd love to combine my influences and the cello (or better yet an electric double bass) somehow. However, I am someone whose motivation benefits from external constraints and expectations.
Ultimately, I'm hoping to find group that's more on the social end to practice and gig with and maybe pick up some creative and technical wisdom.
