ABOUT

Tom Ryder, a band, not a solo artist. But let’s start from the beginning. Tom Ryder was formed by Emmely and Patrice in 2019. Continents and oceans had to be crossed and travelled, hearts mended and healed. Songs and melodies were written but never found a home until the two finally met in Sydney, Australia. They spent the first year or two rediscovering, rewriting and reinventing the songs from what felt like a life time ago. Only then it seemed like all the pieces were coming together. Finally. It was a match. So what do they sound like? A bit dreamy, quite poppy and guitar forward, but also fun and exciting and sometimes actually pretty sad. Emmely secretly loves sad songs a little bit too much. That’s where Patrice comes in and makes them sound a bit more upbeat and alive. But it’s not just the two of them anymore. In 2021 Alex and Simon joined Tom Ryder and became the best looking and grooving rhythm section. So that’s Tom Ryder; something to dance to, something to sway and maybe even shed a tear to.
