SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
My name is John, but mostly everyone calls me Yoni. I'm 38 (39 this year 2025). I am a very laid back, funny guy that loves to have a laugh and not take myself seriously. I don't need to be "Player one" in anything that I'm a part of, but I do have very good musical ideas and input that I can come up with on the fly, whether it be keyboard, drum, guitar, bass or singing parts - including harmonies. I love music and it has always been my biggest love since I was very little. I've never been in a decent band project, as I have always doubted myself and my abilities even when people close to me have always told me that I have talent. I love to sing, and play guitar. I'm always positive, rarely angry or upset, and I will bring the mood up in any negative situation. I'd love to be in a band with some people I could eventually call family. Doing this, trying to be in a band and make music for ourselves and others to enjoy, is something I've always dreamed of doing, but never had the confidence. With a change of work schedule, more spare time and wisdom of age, I think maybe it's time to get out of my comfort zone and give it a go!

Influences
My favourite genres of music include: A wide range of metal sub genres. Anything from Hardcore to Viking metal and a lot in between.
A big influence of my style of metal: I like bands like Electric Callboy, with the Brutal metal and electronic mix. I also love bands like as I lay Dying, Erra and Spiritbox etc., but also love more Speed/power metal bands too - such as Beast in Black, Gloryhammer, Stratovarius, Sabaton Etc.
I do love some heavier deathcore and black metal bands too, such as Lorna Shore, Slaughter to Prevail and The Black Dahlia Murder.
I am also an 80's tragic, so big influences come from New Wave and 80's metal and Ballads. From this, I also love Synth Wave and that style of Dystopian retro-futuristic sound too!
